Carlos "Carlito" Simaj Garcia

Carlos “Carlito” Simaj Garcia was born on January 2, 1989,  in Zacualpa, Quiche, Guatemala and passed away with family at his side at home after bravely battling a lengthy illness at 5:25 a.m., on September 8, at the age of 30. 

Carlito is lovingly remembered by his mother Marta Garcia Gomez and his father Mariano Simaj Jimon of Zacualpa, Quiche, Guatemala. He is one of twelve children including nine sisters Maria Simaj Garcia, Petrona Simaj Garcia, Ana Simaj Garcia, Macaria Simaj Garcia, Micaela Simaj Garcia, Elena Simaj Garcia, Candelaria Simaj Garcia and Emiliana Simaj Garcia, and two  late brothers.

Carlito was loving son, brother, friend, father, and fiancé. He was loved by everyone who had the pleasure of knowing him. He was a light in the lives of his family even in his final moments. He was hardworking and dedicated to providing a better future for his family.

Carlito is survived by his fiancé of nearly two years, Khayla McClure, and his two children, Gabriella McClure age 4 and Carlos Garcia Jr. age 1. 

Visitation is from 10:00 am until 11:00 am, on  Saturday, September 14, 2019, at the Walker Event Center, 3939 Reading Road (Corner of Reading and Paddock), Cincinnati  (45229).   The funeral service will immediately follow the visitation beginning at 11:00 am.

Interment will follow at Vine Street Hill Cemetery.
