COVID-19 Information

The Coronavirus (Covid-19) outbreak has become a public health concern over the past few weeks. We have been listening to the CDC and the State of Ohio along with information put forth from the NFDA and OFDA for funeral homes to follow.

We at Walker Funeral Home want to assure the community that we will remain open and our experienced caring staff will continue to assist families during this critical time. As always, we are making the safety and well-being of you, your family and your friends a priority. In order to do this, we need to make some adjustments for future services and interactions at this time.

• All gatherings (including visitations, funerals, and graveside services) are currently limited to 50 people but may shortly change to 10. We ask those who are ill, at-risk (e.g., elderly, immune-compromised) or recently traveled out of the country, to not attend.
• We are asking that only immediate family or necessary persons make in-person arrangements. If you are unable to make it in to our office, we will help you accomplish everything virtually. Phone, email and texting can be used to facilitate the process. Every situation will and can be accommodated.   
• Though we have always tried to keep our place clean and sanitary, we are making every effort possible to keep our facility free of germs by implementing extra cleaning measures.
• We ask that all guests entering the funeral home use hand sanitizer or wash their hands and refrain from shaking hands and try to use social distancing as best as possible.
• Live-streaming and recording of services will be offered at our Walnut Hills Chapel for those families who so choose, to include those who cannot attend.
